Write-a-Song-Along with Paige Clem
All ages are invited to join singer-songwriter Paige Clem in her fun improvisational, interactive, informal musical session designed for kids to exercise their creativity by making up songs about…anything! Paige Clem will work with the kids to collectively pick a subject or theme to write about then guides the group on how to find content for the song by exploring related topics.  With some related moods, actions and descriptions in place, Paige will help the kids find some fun rhymes and piece together a story made from their ideas. Once the words are written, the kids will draw chords from a hat to help create the sound and with Paige’s guidance find a simple rhythm and melody to bring it all together and together the group will sing their song! Ta-Da.

Jennifer Aguirre has been performing one of her 6 themed puppet story aprons at the High Sierra child's area for many years now. The children point to a pocket and through story, verse, and song the puppet comes delightfully to life. Her gentle puppetry not only engages children but adults as well.

Ta-Da.

'Into The Wild' Mural Painting
Artistic Collaboration is a tradition at High Sierra Music and in the Family Village one of our favorite ways to create magic together is by creating a masterpiece giant mural, where everyone has a chance to add their unique flair.

This year's mural is inspired by our Family Breakfast, EnviroKidz Cereal, and all they teach us about the Wild World. Let's see how many animals we can fit on to one mural and create a truly wild piece of Art.

The Bumpity Bumps
The Bumpity Bumps were voted "sweetest Family Village show of 2014" Laura Ossa has a love of music that seems to start at her dancing toes and bubble out of her glowing waving hair, and ruby red lips with her maple syrup perfect pitch.  Lebo (ALO) and Bo Carper (New Monsoon) flank her on either side with smooth grooves to accompany classic nursery rhymes and our favorite childhood tunes. Shane Ossa holds down a swaying rhythm while his mother Laura seems to transform into a Fairy Godmother, transfixing the whole audience into the innocence and joy of her preschool classroom.
